Description

Outdoor sweet bell pepper with attractive black-red fruits. Thin-walled, medium-sized peppers, about 100-120 g fruits that grow upright on the plant. Initially black, they turn to eggplant purple and then red as they mature. Attractive, spicy but not pungent when harvested initially, becoming sweeter as they ripen. Well suited to warm outdoor locations or growing in a foil house. Zulu also grows well in a large plant pot. (From Bobby-Seeds).

Growing tips

Always keep evenly moist, but not too wet. Cover the seeds only lightly with soil to germinate, keep them evenly moist but not wet and warm (min. 20°C, preferably 25°C). A bright location is also important. Keep slightly cooler after germination. Prick out as soon as 2-4 true leaves are present. Harden off before planting out. When the first fruits begin to form, fertilize about once a week. The first flower can be broken off to encourage the formation of further fruit. Locations protected from the wind are advantageous. Support shoots if necessary.
