The 'Thai Hot Birds Eye' is a cultivar from the USA. The plants grow bushy and compact (up to 80 cm height) and are well suited for cultivation in a pot, on the balcony or windowsill. The plants bear very many small, upright and bright red ripening chilies. They are elongated, about 1 x 5 cm long and thin-walled, fiery hot and aromatic. They are versatile in the kitchen, whether for cooking, drying or pickling.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
You should start growing them from seed in January or February. The chilies can develop well on a south-facing windowsill until mid-May. Additional plant light helps the plants to grow faster and healthier. Move your plants from time to time. Plants tend to grow less stably indoors. Prevent this by switching on a fan once or twice a week.
