Description

:Chilcostle is a very tasty, classic Mexican chili variety with an aromatic bell pepper flavor and medium heat. The plants bear many elongated, dark red chilies that have a juicy pericarp and are excellent for braising, stuffing, grilling and pickling. In Mexico, they are also dried and processed into powder.

Growing tips

Care: The germination temperature is between 22 and 28°C (8 - 21 days germination period), therefore the use of a greenhouse and a heating mat is recommended. The plants need fresh, well-fertilized, well-drained soil and do not tolerate waterlogging. They should be placed in a full sun, sheltered spot with at least 6 hours of sunlight, preferably more. Place the plants outside approx. 2 to 3 weeks after the last frost.
