The 'Delistar' cucumber is a special F1 hybrid with a slightly sweet taste that is vaguely reminiscent of peas in the young fruits. This aroma gradually fades in the mature cucumbers. The flesh is crunchy, juicy and seedless. This cucumber is also very well tolerated and can therefore also be eaten by people who are otherwise unable to eat raw cucumbers. The skin of the 'Delistar, F1' cucumber is light green and very tender. It therefore does not need to be peeled off before eating. The cucumbers grow to a length of 15-20 cm in the covered open field or in the greenhouse. (Kiepenkerl)
F1 Hybrid
Not frost resistant
Germination in 7-14 days at 22-24°C. Cultivation period approx. 18-20 weeks. As cucumbers are quite sensitive to the cold, you should only plant them out after the Ice Saints. They also need a lot of warmth during growth and a constant supply of water is also necessary. Stress conditions such as temperature fluctuations, lack of water or frequent touching lead to the formation of bitter substances. A cultivation break of 3-4 years should be observed. Cucumbers must be able to hold on, as they form long tendrils (2-4 m). Regular harvesting increases the yield as more new flowers are formed.
