Description

'Vorgebirgstrauben' is an old and proven pickling cucumber variety. The cucumber plants develop numerous small fruits of 7-9 cm, which are pickled together with vinegar, spices, salt and herbs to sour gherkins or gherkins. Just as in the Spreewald, the small cucumbers can be pickled in varieties to make salt-dill gherkins, garlic gherkins or spicy gherkins. Mixed flowering.

Non hybrid

Growing tips

Germination after 1-2 weeks from 10°C, but 20-24°C is optimal. Need plenty of water (not too cold and preferably stagnant) and nutrients. Harvesting the first fruits early promotes the formation of further fruits. A sheltered location is an advantage.
