Beschreibung

The root parsley is a subspecies of parsley with a thickened, elongated, pointed beet. It belongs to the botanical family of umbelliferae (Apiaceae).

Herkunft:

Central and Northern Europe

Anbautipps

Tuberous parsley thrives best in a warm and sunny location, but will also do well in a partially shaded spot. The soil should be rich in humus and deep. Loamy soils are particularly suitable for cultivation. However, overly compacted or stony soils are not recommended, as these can lead to deformation of the beet. It is also important to consider crop rotation when growing, as root parsley is incompatible with itself and other umbelliferous plants (carrots, fennel, parsnips, etc.). It should therefore not be grown in the same place again for at least three years.
