Beschreibung

Early-maturing, mildly spicy, high-yielding bullhorn-type sweet bell pepper. Beautiful, up to 15 cm long, slender fruits, pointed at the bottom. Tuba can be harvested both unripe with green fruits and ripe with red fruits (depending on taste). The content of vitamins A, C and D increases as the fruit ripens.

Anbautipps

Germination from 20°C after approx. 8-10 days, optimally 22-24°C. When the cotyledon is visible, prick out into small pots and cultivate at approx. 18-20°C. Plant outdoors from the end of May. Harden off beforehand and watch out for night frosts. Peppers should be grown in nutrient-rich soil in a sunny location. For a rich harvest, the first flower (terminal bud/'king flower') should be broken off. This promotes flower and fruit formation on the side shoots. Pull the plants with 3-4 shoots and remove the remaining shoots. In Central Europe, cultivation is usually annual, but the highest yield is only achieved 2-3 years after planting. To achieve this, the plant must be overwintered indoors. The fruits are harvested from July to September, depending on the variety and weather conditions.
