Description

Leek onion "Ishikura Long White" is a succulent spring onion with a long white stem, but no bulbs form on it. With its fresh green foliage, it stands nicely upright in the vegetable patch. The bunching onion shows good resistance to thrips, and is hardy in sheltered locations.

Frostproof

Growing tips

The spring onion feels particularly at home in loose, slightly sandy soil. Waterlogging should be avoided at all costs. The location should also be sunny. Spring onions can be sown directly outdoors as early as March or grown in advance and planted out in April.
