Rougette de Montpellier is an old variety that comes from France. It is a romaine lettuce with green-ruby leaves. At first, the heads are loosely rosette-shaped, use them at this stage like lettuce. Later, the elongated, tender heart forms, which bleaches itself and promises a treat of deliciously juicy-tender crunchy leaves. The aroma is buttery-sweetish. The variety can be sown early, light frosts do not harm the plants. #Winter lettuce
