Description

Early maturing, very high yielding, fresh, green cut lettuce with good regenerative ability. Tender, slightly curly leaves with open head. Vigorous variety with short development time of 4 - 6 weeks. Easy to grow, as direct sowing is possible in the field and balcony box, no pricking out or transplanting necessary. Cultivation and preparation is also possible mixed with other pickling lettuces.

Non hybrid

Not frost resistant

Growing tips

Sow 0.5 cm deep outdoors from mid-April to August, thinly spaced in rows 30 cm apart. In cold frames or foil houses from March. Press the seeds down, cover thinly with soil and keep moist. Loves sunny to semi-shady locations and all good, humus-rich garden soils. Leave the heart leaves standing when cutting, then they can be harvested continuously. Temperatures above 18 °C can have a germination-inhibiting effect. Always harvest and eat fresh for cooking (does not store well). You can also gradually thin out the row to 25 cm if you want the heads to grow larger.
