Description

Australian jelly (also: Australian yellow) is a high-yielding, late-shooting, tender leaf lettuce. The pickling lettuce tastes aromatic, nutty, bitter. Furthermore, this pickling lettuce convinces with its decorative, curly leaves, is best suited for planting in containers and is also available for a very long period.

Non hybrid

Not frost resistant

Growing tips

The seeds can be sown directly from March in a sunny to semi-shady location. The germination temperature should ideally be between 10 and 18 °C for the next 8 to 15 days. Only ever remove the outer leaves from lettuce. As long as the heart is left standing, new leaves will continue to form. Can be grown very well in raised beds and balcony boxes.
