Description

60-80 cm; yellow flowers in May; biennial; 'Evesham Special' is an old green-leaved Brussels sprout variety (Brassica oleracea var. gemmifera) with nutty fine aroma. The cultivar originates from England. It forms small to medium cabbage sprouts and can be harvested over a long period.

Growing tips

Brussels sprouts should be sown outdoors from mid-April to the beginning of May. The distance between the Brussels sprout plants should be around 50 cm. In order to achieve a good taste, do not fertilize too much. The sprouts taste very good when they have been exposed to frost.
