Description

A local variety from Styria. Cabbage with a loose, medium-sized head is suitable for cutting or storage. Thrives particularly well in the low mountain ranges at 500-1,200 m above sea level and in cool areas.

Non hybrid

Growing tips

Cabbage prefers humusy, calcareous, deep, slightly heavier soil in a sunny location. An even supply of water and nutrients is important during growth. When planting seedlings, the soil should be moist and the seedlings should be watered well. A final harvest in winter is possible, as cabbage tolerates sub-zero temperatures. However, to be on the safe side, you can still cover it with a fleece. Oststeiererkraut is a medium-late storage variety especially suitable for sauerkraut.
