Growing tips

Prick out early seeds after 2 weeks to 5 x 5 cm, plant out from April at a distance of 40 x 50 cm. Likes a sunny, airy spot and preferably nutrient-rich, humus-rich soil. Water evenly and fertilize regularly. Covering the beds with insect netting protects the plants from pests. Avoid harvesting in frosty weather, as this damages the heads and causes them to rot more quickly. Harvest in Early sowing in July, later sowing from August. Later harvest = better shelf life. Observe crop rotation.
