Description

Traditional, medium-late variety for outdoor cultivation with green, decoratively red speckled pods. The variety 'Weinländerin' is a classic variety from Switzerland and is also called 'Vigneronne' there. You can still harvest them until late in the year. High yielding and strong foliage development. Suitable for drying. Plant 6-8 seeds per stalk.

Growing tips

Sheltered location. Germination after 5-20 days at 18-22°C. Fertilization is often not necessary as beans fix nitrogen from the air. A frame or climbing support is necessary. Sensitive to frost. As soon as the plants are 10-15 cm high, mound them up a little. Cultivation break: 3-4 years. Spacing of the nests/support: 80x100 cm. Between the beans in the nest approx. 10 cm.
