Purple-blue, attractive emperor/sugar pea. Can be eaten with the pod when harvested young. When cooked, the blue pods turn dark green. Also suitable raw as a snack. Grows to about 80 - 100 cm tall. Resistant to powdery mildew.

Can be grown in advance, but then harden off before planting. Germination time at 9°C soil temperature (= 10-14°C air temperature) 2-3 weeks. A soil temperature of 20-25°C is optimal for germination. Keep evenly moist. Likes calcareous, humus-rich soil.
