Beschreibung

This red spring onion has red colored shafts with white tip. Spring onions are often grown in tropical countries because they are better adapted for the climate there than the edible onion (Allium cepa). They probably first came to Europe in the 18th century, where they were grown mainly in England, as they are also wonderfully suited to the colder climate. The perennial plants are frost hardy.
